Frederick A. Tromans is a registered General Securities Representative (Series 7) and an Investment Adviser Representative of a registered investment advisor (Series 65) since 1999 after a 31-year career in corporate financial management.

Fred received a B.S. in Business (Finance) from Xavier University in 1965 and an MBA from Rockhurst University in 1977 with concentrations in Finance and Management.

Upon graduating from Xavier, Fred joined Aetna as a Property and Casualty Field Representative for a year before joining the Army in the Army Air Defense Artillery for the next two successive years. He returned to civilian life in Finance and Accounting at Procter & Gamble for seven years; and then, moved to Butler Manufacturing Company in Financial Management for the next six years. He then moved to Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Kansas City where he served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer over as ten year period.

1n 1990, Fred spent 3 years as the Executive Director of the Missouri State Board of Registration for the Healing Arts. Subsequently, he joined Government Employees Health Association, Inc., a multi-billion dollar health insurer, as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Fred left GEHA in 1999 to pursue his lifelong interest in investments.

He is registered as a General Securities Principal (Series 24), and a Municipal Securities Principal (Series 51) and a life, health and variable products insurance agent. He achieved certification as a Certified Fund Specialist (CFS) in 2001.

Fred has done postgraduate studies in Business at Southern Methodist University and the University of Cincinnati. He has attended several business strategy seminars given by Harvard and Wharton Business School faculties and has taught as an adjunct professor in the MBA programs at Rockhurst, Benedictine and St. Mary’s Universities.

Fred has a passionate interest in education for the economically disadvantaged and serves as Chair of the Board of Trustees for the University of St. Mary. He recently completed two terms on the Board of Cristo Rey High School in Kansas City.

He is a member of Kansas City Tomorrow Alumni and Financial Executives International. He is a past Chair of the Missouri Easter Seals state board and the Kansas City Chapter of the Planning Executives Institute and was formerly on the Xavier University National Alumni Board.

Fred and his wife, Marilyn, enjoy traveling and attending the theatre. He also loves spending time with his two children, Elena and Jeff; and his two grandchildren, Marlow and Sola.
